If you enroll in vision benefits, simply show your BlueCross ID card at any EyeMed Vision Care network provider to enjoy savings on eye examinations, contact lenses, lens options and accessories.

You and your covered dependents are eligible for a comprehensive eye exam and standard lenses or contacts once every 12 months (from last visit/purchase) from a participating provider.


How to Use Your Vision Benefits

  1. Visit EyeMedVisionCare or call 1-866-723-0513 to locate an EyeMed Vision Care network provider.
  2. Present your BlueCross ID Card at the time of your appointment.
  3. Receive services or materials and pay the applicable coinsurance to the provider and any other out-of-pocket costs.
  4. The provider should file the claim on your behalf.

High definition lenses are not covered as standard lenses. The vision benefit provides you approximately 20% off retail price. They are typically 30-40% higher in cost versus standard lenses due to the technology required to develop them. High definition lenses will give a crisper, sharper image and somewhat more clarity than standard. Also high def lenses will be thinner due to the material.
