Using Your Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

Health benefits (medical, dental, prescription and/or vision plans or expenses) can be reimbursed through the Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) administered by OneExchange. HRA funding can be used for premiums (excluding a spouse's plan), coinsurance, co-pays and deductibles. SEG will contribute a fixed amount annually to your HRA account administered by OneExchange.

  • Enrollment through OneExchange is optional. Eligible participants will receive HRA funds regardless of which agent/broker you use to select your Medicare Supplement, medicare Advantage Plan, or Prescription Drug Plan, or if you decide to join your spouse’s medical plan. Important Reminders about your Elections

  • This does not remove the requirement to enroll in Medicare. Contact the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or the Social Security office for questions on Medicare enrollment and eligibility requirements. SEG is not responsible for the payment or reimbursement of penalties for not participating in Medicare.
  • A Spousal Affidavit is required if you wish to cover an eligible spouse who doesn’t have access to active or retiree employer-sponsored medical coverage.
  • Eligible spouse and dependent(s) are those on record at the time of your retirement. Your coverage level can never increase after your retirement date due to a new spouse or dependent.
