Foracosteffectiveapplicationsolutionandminiaturizationneeds,SPV1020embedsthepowerMOSFETsforactiveswitchesandsynchronousrectification,minimizingthenumberofexternaldevices.Furthermore,the4phaseinterleavedtopologyoftheDC-DCconverterallowstoavoidtheuseelectrolyticcapacitors,whichwouldseverelylimitthelifetime. ItworksatfixedfrequencyinPWMmode,wherethedutycycleiscontrolledbytheembeddedlogicrunningaPerturbObserveMPPTalgorithm.Theswitchingfrequency,internallygeneratedandsetbydefaultat100kHz,isexternallytunable,whilethedutycyclecanrangefrom5%to90%withastepof0.2%.
